1,612 acres of premier walleye fishing • Backus, Minnesota
Pine Mountain Lake is 1,612 acres with a maximum depth of 80 feet and over 9 miles of shoreline. The 2022 Minnesota DNR lake survey recorded the highest walleye abundance in the lake's survey history. The lake also holds healthy populations of northern pike, largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and perch. Whether you fish from your cabin dock, take out one of our rental boats, or launch your own from the resort, the bite is never far away.

Backus, Minnesota • 3 hours north of the Twin Cities
From Minneapolis/St. Paul: Take I-94 West to US-371 North. Follow 371 through Brainerd and Pine River to Backus. Turn left on Highway 87, continue 3/4 mile, then turn right onto Wood Street.
